The Fish is the counterpose to the Shoulderstand. It relieves stiffness in the neck and shoulders, exercises the chest, and tones the nerves of the neck and back. The fish also stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Procedure:
1. Lie on back with legs straight and feet together. Place hands underneath thighs, palms down.
2. Press down on elbows. Inhale and arch the back. Rest top of head on floor. Breathe deeply.
3. To come out of pose, lift head and place it down; release arms.
